Verse 3 in the King James Bible reads “It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all thing from the very first, to write unto thee in order…” While the New International Version reads “With this in mind since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you…” Careful investigation can be done by anyone, but perfect understanding is given by God. The NIV misses the mark… again.
